4. How We Share Information

  • Other providers used for security, error monitoring, customer support, communications, data storage, or related business functions.

These providers are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide services to TaxAhead, comply with law, maintain security, or perform other authorized functions.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

TaxAhead uses cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the Service. These may include cookies used to:

  • Keep you signed in;
  • Maintain session security;
  • Remember your progress through the projection questions;
  • Preserve account preferences; and
  • Detect unauthorized activity or abuse.

These cookies are intended to support the operation and security of the Service.

TaxAhead also uses Google Ads conversion measurement so that we can tell whether a visit that began from one of our advertisements led to a purchase. It sets a cookie that records the advertisement you arrived from. Google receives standard browser information, such as your IP address and the address of the TaxAhead page you are viewing, and, when you make a purchase, the purchase amount and a transaction reference. Through this measurement Google does not receive your tax projection information, your answers to the projection questions, or your email address, and we do not use it to build advertising audiences or to show you personalized advertisements. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not load it.

TaxAhead does not use any other advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies on the TaxAhead application.

Payment pages, embedded services, or third-party websites may use their own cookies or similar technologies under the applicable provider’s privacy policy.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may prevent portions of the Service from functioning properly.

6. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Our safeguards may include:

  • Encryption of information transmitted to and from the Service;

  • Restricted access to production systems and databases;
  • Session expiration and automatic sign-out after inactivity;
  • Access controls based on business need;
  • Security monitoring and logging; and
  • Administrative and technical measures designed to prevent unauthorized access.

No website, application, database, or transmission method is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the security of information against every possible threat.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Service, maintaining business and financial records, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and complying with legal obligations.

Our general retention practices are:

  • Account information and saved projections: Retained while your account remains open or until you request deletion, subject to legal, security, and operational exceptions.
